Responsibility

GERMEX makes sure that the goods we trade are produced under conditions that meet international labour and human rights standards. This is not a statement of intent – it is part of the check before every purchase.

What we hold to

• the core conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO) – no child labour, no forced labour, freedom of association, equal pay, no discrimination
• the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
• the applicable labour, environmental and customs rules of both the country of origin and the destination country

How we check

We prefer suppliers we know or have visited. New suppliers must name the origin and the place of production, not only the trade route. We ask for existing certificates and test reports and compare them with the shipment documents. Where the information does not match, we do not buy.

If something comes up

We accept written reports of violations in our supply chain and follow up on them. The contact form can be used for this – a name is not required.
